Will bugs go away if I spray off insect repellent all over my desk?

 At night, always meet on bugs and scare the crap out of me, if I use it for mosquito repellent and spray it around will they go?

Bugs aren’t of necessity a runner’s enemy. Black flies, mosquitoes and even the lowly gnat are part of the spontaneous universe and, if a runner hopes to convene with nature, it’s important to permit our place in the world.

“They get stuck in your eyeballs, stuck in your teeth and, if you go out for a run at lunchtime, you repetition back to your desk with a coat of bugs around your neck,” says Tammy Mercier, 41, a practised runner based in Halifax, who has been running outside since she was eight. “I don’t use bug spray because it stings when it gets in your eyes, but even though swallowing bugs is nasty, I’ve come to see them as a source of protein.”

Running through a cloud of bugs, there’s extraordinarily no way to avoid them, but you can limit their impact on your run. The best breathing pattern we’ve heard is to inspire through your nose and hold it for a three count before exhaling through your mouth. Bugs are attracted to sugary tastes and scents, so if you you’re going to be running a trail or near the bottled water, avoid Gatorade and sugary gels. Furthermore, tight clothes are recommended because there’s nothing worse than getting a mosquito caught in your shorts.
