Manufacturers pull plug on cypermethrin sheep dips | News ...
Manufacturers of the three cypermethrin dips have gratuitously reticent their Marketing Authorisations for the products.
The authorisations for dips were for the time being suspended on February 21, 2006, following reports of serious befouling incidents arising from their programme use.
But with no present possibilities of a lifting of the denial, the manufacturers have now said they no longer in need of to barter cypermethrin products.
The Veterinary Medicines Directorate welcomed the move and claimed it would not retard sheep farmers’ efforts to contain diseases like sheep scab.
VMD chief boss Professor Steve Dean said: “Although sheep farmers from across the UK valued the cypermethrin dip products, since the products were suspended four years ago the VMD has not received any accounts of the another authorised products without to manage sheep scab.
“As the usage use of the cypermethrin dips has proved too challenging for environmental refuge I desirable this gratuitous move by the manufacturers.”
